UPDATE (July 24th): Visas for the band have been approved and are in-hand so the concert has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 30th. Previously purchased tickets for July 9th will still be valid for the 7/30 show, at the same venue. We will be selling tickets for $50 in our classes (they are $60 online).

César “Pupy” Pedroso was one of the greatest Cuban musicians and band leaders — he sadly passed away on July 17th but his band Los Que Son Son will ensure that his music lives on. Pupy was an inspiration to countless dancers and musicians for decades, the composer of many of our favorite songs, at first with Los Van Van for their first 30+ years and then with his own band Los Que Son Son for the past 20+ years. This show is not-to-be missed — Los Que Son Son is one of the best bands in Cuba, and they haven’t been in the Bay Area for many years. Special guest singer El Noro will be performing live with Los Que Son Son — songs he sang when he used to be a member of the band. DJ Antonio will be spinning starting at 8pm — live music will start approximately 10:30 or 11:00pm.
