Ryan is back from our Cuba Dance Trip to Havana with lots of fun new material – movement, turn patterns, footwork, and more, and he'll be sharing his favorite new material with the dance community in the Bay Area on TWO DIFFERENT SUNDAYS. These workshops are open to all dancers, not just those who attended the trip.
July 23rd, 1:30 - 3:30pm — OG Rueda Moves (Pasillos Clásicos de los Fundadores)
Rueda de Casino was first developed in Havana in the late 1950s and early 1960s. On our latest Cuba trip we learned about the history of the dance and learned many of the original movements that were done in the original Ruedas at the Casino Deportivo de la Habana from Juanito Gomez “El Abuelo,” who started dancing at age 11, and his rueda dance group in Havana (Los Fundadores) who maintain the original movements and style.
July 30th, 1:30 - 3:30pm — Havana-style Casino and Rueda
We danced with a number of different dance groups and schools on our latest Cuba Dance Trip to Havana — Retomando El Son, Casino Pa Rato, Kubasoy, Clave Nuestra, and La Casona del Son. In this two-hour long workshop Ryan will share his favorite movements from all of these different groups.
These workshops, and all RCR classes, are offered on a sliding scale. When you check out, you can enter either 25OFF or 50OFF as codes to receive 25% or 50% discounts.
