We are VERY excited to announce that in addition to our monthly parties in San Francisco (3rd Fridays), we will now be offering a monthly party in OAKLAND every 1st Saturday, starting February 1st.

The venue is the main ballroom at the Lake Merritt Dance Center (same location as our weekly Monday classes), which is a PERFECT venue for dancing — lots of space, beautiful decor, amazing hardwood dance floor, free parking.

The first edition of our new monthly party will be the “RCR Love Fest.” We are so thankful to the RCR community and the greater Bay Area Cuban dance community for supporting us for so many years and so for February (Valentine’s month), we would like to show some love back to you by offering this event for FREE. Here’s the schedule:

9:30pm Live Son con Timba with Son Chévere
11:00pm DJ Ritmo

The building is owned by the City of Oakland so we are required to vacate by midnight.

As with our monthly parties at ODC, you are welcome to bring food or drinks to share, but there is ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR DRINK IN THE BALLROOM — be sure to keep all food and drink (including water) out in the lobby.
